Operation Ajax
The GLA have launched Operation Ajax to step up the fight against those who abuse workers.
Ajax will see the GLA increasing its activities with an 18 month programme
of targeted enforcement, involving 20 to 30 surprise raids throughout the UK where the GLA believes there is abuse.
The Operation was launched on 3 June by Jonathan Shaw MP the government minister with responsibility for the GLA and Paul Whitehouse the Chairman of the GLA.
Also speaking at the event were Frances O'Grady, Deputy General Secretary of the TUC and Judith Batchelar, Director of Sainsbury's Brand.
