EU workers in the food processing sector

Freedom of Information Act Request

Ref: FOI 21-22 26

Date issued: 20 December 2021

Subject: EU workers in the food processing sector

Question(s):

I am presently trying to verify the total number of EU national working within the GLAA sectors only related to the North of Ireland. Every year we as a company have to clarify how many staff we have and from what part of the EU they are from. Would it be possible to get this breakdown from yourselves as you will have collected this information from the other 23 agencies licensed to work in the food processing sector?

Response:

The GLAA does not collect information about the nationality of workers in licensed sectors. Therefore, we do not hold the data you have requested. You may be interested in the 2019 profiles on workers and industries published online: Industry profiles - sectors at risk.
