Subject: GLAA Insurance policies

Question(s):

1.     Please confirm the name, position and contact details (telephone number and email address) of the person responsible for arranging and administering the Authority’s insurances.

2.    Which classes of commercial insurance do the Authority currently procure? When are these policies due for renewal?

3.    How much does the Authority spend annually on its insurance premium?

4.    Please confirm the name of the Authority’s current insurance broker/advisor (if applicable).

5.    When was the contract for insurance broking services last reviewed/tendered?

6.    When will the current contract for insurance brokerage services expire? Is this subject to a potential extension?

 

Response:

1.     Kerry Jasper, Finance Manager. Email address: kerry.jasper@gla.gov.uk

2.    Fleet insurance only, renewal annually in May.

3.    Approximately £20,000. However, this will be lower this year as lots of vehicle have been returned.

4.    Willis Towers Watson.

5.    Use Crown Commercial Service for approved suppliers, current broker still on list.

6.    We use latest agreement on Crown Commercial Service.
