GLAA Licence decision policy in relation to licences issued
Freedom of Information Act request.
Ref: FOI 24-25 26
Date issued: 8 April 2025
Subject: GLAA Licence decision policy in relation to licences issued
Question:
“Our client has concerns that the activities of the relevant company directors and shareholders does not comply with the “fit and proper” test that has to be passed in order for their current companies to hold a GLAA licence. The policy adopted in respect of this is requested to be disclosed, together with confirmation that the appropriate policies have been followed in respect of the licence issued to Major Recruitment and Gap Recruitment.”
Response:
When making licensing decisions the GLAA uses our Licensing Decision Policy – which is publicly available here on our website: https://www.gla.gov.uk/media/9588/licence-decision-policy_final_v30-external-for-website-v22023.pdf
Licensing Officers at that time would have made decisions based on the facts at hand and appropriate reference documents.
If your client has specific evidence of non-compliance, we advise this to be sent to: contact@gla.gov.uk.
