Freedom of Information Act request.

Date issued: 8 July 2025
Subject: Job opportunities under the disability confident scheme
Question:
I am writing in connection with a recent job advertisement and would like to obtain the following information relating to the Head Of People and Change job opportunity.
- the number of disabled candidates that requested an interview under the disability confident scheme should they meet the minimum criteria.
- the number of disabled candidates that were offered an interview who requested one under the disability confident scheme.
Our response:
The GLAA is a ‘Disability Confident Committed employer’. This ensures candidates who apply to a position under the disability confident scheme and meet the minimum criteria are offered an interview.
1. 29 candidates applied to the Head of People and Change role under the disability confident scheme.
2. Two candidates who applied under the disability confident scheme met the minimum criteria set by the panel and were therefore offered an interview.
