Shaping future policy and practices of the GLAA

2nd February 2018

Invitation

Are you interested in shaping future policy and practices of the GLAA?

If the answer is yes, then you will be interested to learn that we hold regular meetings of a Labour Provider Labour User Liaison Group (LU/LP Group). Here, stakeholders from any relevant background can give their views on how to make sure our regulatory framework fits the needs of today’s markets.

The group meets roughly once a quarter and we are always on the lookout for new attendees who can bring some a fresh approach and new ideas to the table.

You could be a licence-holder, supplying workers within our regulated sector. Or, you might be one of their clients – a labour user - who employs workers as part of your day-to-day business operations.

We also welcome the views from connected trade associations and retailers as well as anyone else connected with the UK’s fresh produce supply chain.

We would like to hear the views of all industries and business operators not just those in the regulated sector.

The meetings are attended by our Chair and Chief Executive as well as the Head of Licensing and Head of Compliance.

All meetings of the Labour Provider Labour User Liaison Group are held at the GLAA offices in Nottingham and run from 11am – 1pm unless stated. Dates for 2018/19 are as follows:

LU/LP liaison group

6 September

14 November

Worker/Non Government Organisation Liaison Group – all meetings are at Marsham Street, London, 11.30am – 1.30pm

16 August

7 November

Anyone interested in attending is asked to confirm their attendance in advance by emailing licensing@gla.gsi.gov.uk. Any questions or requests for further information should also be sent to this address.
