Remembering exploitation victims on International Women’s Day
8th March 2019
Four women from the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA) have spoken out in support of female victims of exploitation on International Women’s Day.
Communications Officer Kathryn Roberts, Intelligence Assistant Vytaute Eitutyte, HR Assistant Jada Samuel, and Finance Assistant Patricia Kabanda all feature in the short clip, released today (Friday 8 March) to mark the international event.
They provide a stark reminder that women are disproportionately affected by labour exploitation, highlighting that women account for the vast majority of victims in the sex industry, as well as 58% of victims in other sectors.
