Two human trafficking arrests in Lincolnshire

8th November 2018

A 42-year-old man and 35-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of human trafficking offences in Lincolnshire.

The suspects were questioned following the operation in Gedney, South Holland, on the morning of Wednesday 7 November.

Both have been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Six people believed to have been trafficked to the county for work in the food services sector were identified at the address.

The Lincolnshire Police operation was supported by the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA), Immigration Enforcement, HM Revenue and Customs, and South Holland District Council.

Anyone who suspects someone is being trafficked or exploited should report their concerns immediately. You can get in touch with police or call the GLAA’s dedicated intelligence team on 0800 432 0804.
