Funeral of Paul Broadbent

11th January 2018

Family arrangements for the funeral of GLAA chief executive Paul Broadbent have now been confirmed.

The service will be held at St Paul’s Church, Monk Bretton, Barnsley, at 11.15am on the morning of Tuesday 30 January with mourners asked to be seated in church no later than 11am.

Paul’s wife Fiona wants the service to be a celebration of his life. She is acutely aware of how popular and well known Paul was and she extends an open invite to those wishing to join her, his family and friends, in remembering him.

The service will be followed by a private family cremation, though mourners are invited to come together at Tankersley Manor, close to J36 of the M1 afterwards to share their own memories of Paul.

If you would like to attend the funeral please speak let us know by emailing communications@gla.gsi.gov.uk

We have offered to assist Fiona and the family in managing expectations around the numbers involved. On behalf of the family we will issue further details, including time, parking and transport arrangements, in the coming days.

Below you will find links to St Paul’s Church and Tankersley Manor.
