GLAA officers arrest woman suspected of gangmaster offences

A 24 year old Polish woman has been arrested and questioned on suspicion of acting as an unlicensed gangmaster.
She was detained following an arrest by Gangmasters and Labour Abuse (GLAA) investigators in Shrewsbury yesterday (Tues) in an operation assisted by West Mercia Police. It follows allegations that Bulgarian workers are being exploited for labour in and around Shropshire.
The woman was released under investigation and enquiries are continuing.
