Transition to the GLAA

Since May 2017 the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority has taken on the role and remit of the GLA.

It has also been granted police-style powers to investigate labour abuse and exploitation across all aspects of the UK labour market.

This page provides information on the transition from GLA to GLAA, what the additional role, remit and powers will mean and what extra sanctions are available to the reformed authority.
