I have a GLAA licence

shellfish gatherers working on beach

The GLAA operates a licensing scheme to regulate businesses who provide workers to the UK fresh produce sector.

If you are supplying workers for roles in agriculture, horticulture, shellfish gathering and any associated processing or packaging then you require a GLAA licence.

This section includes all the licensing information you need to renew your licence, how much it will cost, as well as the activities covered by licensing and advice on how you must operate to comply with the GLAA licensing standards.

Important - Licence renewals

Is your GLAA licence due for renewal?

Currently renewal reminders are being sent via email only as we have limited access to our office.

Please check your junk folder for renewal reminders from our Licensing team. We have had reports that some emails have been marked as junk and therefore not been received. Please add licensing@gla.gov.uk to your safe sender list.

The renewal of the licence is the responsibility of the business regardless of whether the business has or has not received a renewal notice and steps and systems should be put in place to ensure a timely renewal. It is for this reason the licence has the expiry date clearly printed on the certificate.

Important message - June 2021

Please do not send any post to the office for the foreseeable future. As mentioned previously access is limited and any post sent to us may not be dealt with in a timely manner.
Please send all communications via email to licensing@gla.gov.uk
